7 Days – Sri Lanka Classic Loop

We meet you in Bentota and drive south to the historic city of Galle. Step back into the 17th century with a guided walk through the picturesque lanes of the Dutch Fort, passing the iconic lighthouse, and ending with a breathtaking view at golden hour along the ancient ramparts.

Enjoy a beautiful coastal drive featuring a cultural photo stop at the traditional stilt-fishermen. In the afternoon, we switch to an open-top jeep for an exciting wildlife safari in Yala National Park. Note: If Yala Block 1 is closed due to seasonal weather, we seamlessly reroute to Udawalawe National Park to see herds of wild elephants at no extra cost.

We travel up into the cool, misty climate of the Hill Country to the town of Ella. Visit the architectural marvel of the Nine Arch Bridge, tucked into the jungle, and stretch your legs with an easy, highly rewarding hike up Little Adam’s Peak. Spend your evening at leisure enjoying the crisp mountain air.

: Experience one of the world's most beautiful railway journeys with reserved seats on a scenic train sector through the lush tea country. Afterwards, dive into the island's heritage with a visit to a working tea estate and factory, complete with a fresh Ceylon tea tasting session.

Immerse yourself in the spiritual heart of Sri Lanka. Enjoy a guided visit to the deeply sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, followed by a peaceful stroll along the Kandy lakeside. In the evening, witness the vibrant energy of a traditional Kandyan cultural performance.

: We drive north into the Cultural Triangle. Explore the mesmerizing ancient murals inside the Dambulla Cave Temples. Depending on the weather, we will plan either a cool sunrise or a stunning late-afternoon climb of the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress. An optional village cycle and home-style lunch is available.

Conclude your incredible journey with a transfer back to the coastline. Depending on the travel season (May–Sep), we recommend substituting Bentota for Trincomalee/Nilaveli on the East Coast for the calmest sea conditions. Relax by the beach before your convenient onward travel or departure.
